After your elderly relative has moved into a facility, Geriatric Care Managers become his or her advocate. They follow his or her progress by making on-site visits to ensure the elder person is properly cared for and is being provided for with dignity and the best quality of life that is possible for him or her.

Care managers often assist families with long-distance care giving; they also work with attorneys, financial planners, trust officers, physicians, and other professionals to help meet the needs of the clients.
